The strong pungent smell of sulphur makes it very difficult for lice to breathe. Here is a simple way to use onion juice in your DIY lice treatment. This is a common question that I often get from parents. They are sceptical about using medicinal products on the hair and asks if lice can go away on their own. In fact, many people don’t start immediate treatment expecting the lice to wean away from on their own. Then, with a nit comb , slowly work your way through their hair in sections, over and over.
Pesticides are toxic to humans, and prescription lice treatments are just the same pesticides in stronger doses. Increasing the dose and the time you leave pesticides on your child just means that more toxins are getting into your kiddos bloodstream . Because Super Lice have become immune to everything that used to work in the past doing what your mom did isn't going to work for you.
How Common are Super Lice?
The first treatment I ended up removing a lot of eggs/nits. I am in love with the whole Ladibugs Hair care line. The shampoo smells great and is great for the whole family, I use this on my younger 2 children that are in primary school every time I wash their hair. It really works & we recommend it to all our friends w/children to have on hand incase of an outbreak!. However, my son only shampoos his short hair, and it seems soft and manageable. Tea tree and mint are supposed to be great for repelling/preventing lice.
So All is left to do is wait till all these critters hatch, then I do the treatment again and comb them all out until I see the very last dead bug. I bought this after battling 3 kids with head lice for months! I had tried every home remedy as I didn’t want to use harsh chemicals on my 1 year old’s head.
Too Many Lice Treatments = Super Lice
In these cases, it can be difficult to prevent spreading lice. Parents should teach their children about lice, including why it’s important not to share hats or hair accessories. Lice are spread through direct contact with people or things already affected.
I have 2 granddaughters with different hair types. I’ve tried both the everyday shampoo and conditioner and the rosemary. This product worked so well I have goosebumps taking about it. Next day we checked her and she was lice free. I hope everyone is as fortunate as we we have been.

Permethrin is the active pesticidal ingredient in the over-the-counter head lice treatment commonly known as Nix. These OTC treatments should work by killing all of the live bugs on the head. If it is effective, however, all of the eggs still need to be removed from the hair since this treatment is not effective at killing lice eggs. We say “should” work because over time, lice have become increasingly more resistant to these protocols, so the treatment may kill all, some, or none of the live bugs on the hair. If this remedy does not kill lice, then you are most likely dealing with a case of super lice. We don’t recommend pesticide products because of this, especially if you have a case of super lice .

So before trying just any home remedy, take some time to learn which ones work and which to avoid altogether. Will apply again in 7 days, and hopefully we’re done with this nightmare. Grab a bowl of alcohol and catches all the nasty critters and eggs.
Tea tree oil
Make sure it’s tight so that lice cannot crawl outside. Once you cover them, lice will come out crawling to the plastic. Leave it for a week, if it is possible, heat it out to kill them. Clinical trial showing superiority of a coconut and anise spray over permethrin 0.43% lotion for head louse infestation. If someone uses one of these dandruff shampoos and it “cures” their lice, it’s most likely that they actually had dandruff all along .
It features rosemary, tea tree and mint, and is non-irritating for daily use. I noticed a louse crawling in my daughters hair while styling it. So then checked her bed to find she had a lot of eggs and a few more lice crawling around. I purchased this product to eradicate the problem. To avoid eye contact DO NOT use this product while showering or bathing. With child in a comfortable sitting position, cover entire top of moist hair with separate “puffs” of mousse.
You have to comb thoroughly and often to ensure you’ve gotten it all. If there’s even just one nit left behind, it will hatch and lay eggs and the infestation will start all over again. Treating your house may seem like a big production, but this will help prevent any further infestations. If it seems overwhelming, make a checklist and just focus on one task at a time. You might also find live lice or lice eggs called nits in your hair.
